You’re invited to join us for an unforgettable day of fun, food, and community spirit, all in support of our local veterans! Let’s come together to honor and raise funds for those who have served, with a day full of BBQ, live entertainment, and exciting competitions. The event will be held on Saturday, July 12th, 2025, from 11:00am – 9:30pm at Konows Farm in Homer Glen, IL.
The day will feature a variety of activities for everyone to enjoy. Get ready for the BBQ Rib Competition, where you can sign up to compete, and the People’s Choice Chicken Wing Competition for all you wing lovers out there. DJ Keith will be spinning tunes starting at 6pm, while Juggle Dave’s Magic Show and balloons will entertain the kids from 2:30-4:00pm. Face Painter Adam will be on hand from 1:00pm-4:30pm, and we’ll have raffle baskets and a 50/50 Split the Pot to add to the excitement. For the little ones, there will be a Bounce House & Jumpy Pillow to enjoy all day long.
At 12:00pm, we’ll have a special ceremony where veterans will arrive via motorcycle escort, followed by a performance by the LWHS ROTC Color Guard to honor their service. This event is all about supporting our heroes, and the proceeds raised will go directly to benefiting the Manteno & LaSalle Veterans Homes, Gold Star Families, and other local veteran causes, including “Caring Patriots,” which provides groceries for veterans in need.
We’ll also have delicious BBQ from local vendors like Big Boom BBQ and Matt’s Barbeque, available for purchase throughout the event. Admission is free, and we encourage donations—just scan the QR code to contribute!
